It has been reported that mobile phone network O2 has successfully managed to win the contract for the highly sought after Apple iPhone.
O2 claims that the handsets will be available in time for Christmas, and will be priced at around £300 a piece.
Hoping to replicate the hype caused in the US, where over 500,000 iPhones were sold in the first week, O2 are hoping to lure in customers from rival networks.
My guess is that it just might work.
I know this is an old post but it has been announced today (28 September) that Orange are to start retailing the iPhone 3G and iPhone3GS in the UK, presumably alongside O2. Hopefully this will mean lower prices to consumers as O2 have had a monopoly on the device since its launch.
