Download Festival 2007 Antics
Well now that the site is setup, I can finally tell the world about my trip to the Download Festival 2007.

(Left to Right: Tom, Sam and Scott posing for the camera)
The festival started on the 8th June but we left via the “Happy Bus” from Newcastle at 10am, 7th June. The bus journey there wasn’t too bad, even though it was about 5 hours long! But we successfully managed to fill that time with things such as, “Ooo, look at that cow in the field”…
When we got there the atmosphere was already wild, thousands upon thousands of people interested in the same genre of music all in one concentrated area. It was a surreal experience to say the least!
And so the first official day arrived, and we made a speedy arrival to the jam-packed entry gates of Main Stage. We probably waited there for about an hour or so until the security let us pass, at which point we RAN to the front (Being asked to slow down many a time by various on-site security). Well, we finally managed to reach the front and here is a little picture as proof.

(Im three in from the right and one up, with the dog tags on ;))
The first band to play was one called Zico Chain, which I had quite honestly never heard of before, but they were definately worth being at the front for!
I could go on and on about the festival, it was an amazing experience, but I won’t. However, one thing I must mention was Stone Sour and Linkin Park. They both played an awesome set, Stone Sour being my favourite band and Linkin Park coming up high in my top 10, you can rest assured that Scott, Sam and myself were right there at the front again for the both of them!
Looking forward to Download 2008!
