I’ve been a hardcore Twitter user for some time now, and recently it seems to have exploded in terms of the number of people trying to make a business out of it through various marketing methods and such. This post is basically going to take a look at some of these available methods.

The general concept behind all of these methods is to rapidly increase your Twitter follower base in a targeted manner, such that you can then promote products to those targeted followers in order to make money. Now, I have not personally purchased any of these methods (Which range from about $20 to $50), but I have however signed up to the mailing list of the majority of them, and I do follow the free tips that they give out now and again via email.

As you can see, there was a sudden huge increase in my follower count on the 16th March 2009. I gained 250 followers in a single day and it has been steadily increasing since then. I even had another “follower growth spurt” on the 26th March 2009 where I gained aprox 150 new followers and it is still continuing to climb each day.

Now, this was due to simply following a few extremely simple FREE tips which I received simply by signing up to the mailing lists on their product pages. As I say, I have yet to purchase one of these methods, as I am still undecided about which one will provide the most “bang for buck” but the free tips they provided as teasers have definitely proven that systems DO exist out there to allow you to pull this off successfully.
