I have recently been in talks with @Domness – developer of the iPhone Twitter client Twitterville – with regards to integrating the TDY.ME url shortening service into it. The suggestion was welcomed with open arms and Dominic began integrating it into his latest beta version of the client almost instantly!
Below is a video that Dominic recently uploaded to his Tumblr blog, demoing the TDY.ME service inside Twitterville.
This is extremely exciting news for myself and the TDY.ME service. Not only does it mean more exposure for the service (as well as the fact that TDY.ME will be the ONLY url shortening service in the Twitterville client) – but it also demonstrates that the little guys CAN still compete with the “big kids” (a la bit.ly).
I’d like to thank Dominic for putting his trust in the TDY.ME service and integrating it into his client. If you would like to follow the progress of the Twitterville’s development, head on over to Dominic’s Tumblr blog at http://twitterville.tumblr.com/.

That’s indeed a great gesture from Dominic. Goes to show how a personal touch can do wonders to anything you do. I wonder how he agreed on tdy.me being exclusively used
That’s nice way to promote URL shortening service. I think you should also contact some forum owners so that signature links can be converted to tdy.me URLs automagically.
Did you see how bit.ly became the biggest service (bigger than tinyurl) as soon as twitter adopted them as default.
I guess Twitterville with the URL shortening service integrated will gain some love & popularity from users…
Keep on working)
I tried going to Dominics Tumblr blog, but get a message saying “We couldn’t find the page you were looking for.” Did they change their url?
Iphone applications always rocks…
Twitterville is very nice tool to shorten url for twitter as it restrict the no of characters
Thanks.
Congrats to you both, looks like a great app. Us little guys have to keep the big guys on their toes!
Great Site. Nice work
This is a very nice idea of integrating TDY.Me with twitterville. I am sure it will make twitterville more attractive for users like me who use twitter always from the Iphone on the go.
This is a great idea to integreation of TDY.ME and Twitterville. This will really help both of the services equally to become popular.
