As most of you are probably aware (if you follow me on Twitter that is), that a few weeks ago I announced my first ever iPhone application – iSpeedReader.
iSpeedReader is an iPhone/iPod Touch application that (funnily enough) lets you speed read. The application allows you to enter your own text, import text from the web, change the Words Per Minute speed on the fly, rewind, pause, forward and play your text.
RazorianFly.com (A great iPhone app review site) recently wrote a great preview of iSpeedReader as writer James took it for a spin.
The great news is that iSpeedReader has just hit the App Store! I am incredibly excited as this is my first ever iPhone/iPod Touch application and seeing it in the App Store is just simply amazing!
I hope you will all go and take a look. I think you will like what you see!
@Tom: The review is indeed great, I didn’t even know there were other apps for speed reading. I am glad more of your apps would find success at App store.
Hi Tom, Congrats on the new app! Hope you get a lot of people interested in it. And with that review, I don’t think you’ll have a hard time convincing people to try this stuff. It looks sleek too.
Must be neat being able to create apps. Too bad I’m too old to learn that “trick”. Hehe
Again, best of luck to you and your app!
Thanks for the comment Terry! I’m of the opinion that your never too old to learn new “tricks”
Hehehe… Too busy then.. LOL
I just can’t find the time to start learning programming. Can you recommend a good ebook to start someone in that field?
I generally just search for “ tutorials” on Google. For example, “C++ tutorials”.
Usually comes back with an abundance of resources.
Excellent – been wanting an iphone for a while now but as we get no mob service in my area I have stopped myself from buying it as it would be a pretty brick only
Moving house next week though and that puts me in iphone territory!
This is an excellent app, but it’s generally better to learn the skill itself rather than to rely on a tool.

Hi Tom congrats for the new application. This application will help me a lot. Thanks for the post.
The application is very useful for me. Now i download it on my iPod Touch.
Thanks.
This is a nice idea for the iphone and one that will go really well with an online speed reading program or course.
awesome app, i’ll have to check it out when I get my iphone next month.
It looks cool, you’re really a genius because you can create your own iPhone application. Thanks for sharing this one I’ll try it out
